This resonated with me -> "Writing is like seeing a burned war photograph and living the final battle of that soldier, and then imagining their life before and after..." as I have so many old photographs of ancestors from the past. I am always wondering what the story was before and after the photograph. <br /><br />I write straight through my manuscript, but sometimes jump around to write where I want to write. But, then again it is different with every novel I write. I like to start ...My writing is all over the place. I like to start out with an outline but I almost never stick to it. The hardest part is writing the first chapter. I can never seem to get it the way I want to. I also tend to skip around to what ever scene is in my head just so I don't forget.
